The Philadelphia World Cup Trip We Planned Around One Match

One World Cup match was enough to build a whole family outing around. For our Juneteenth visit to Philadelphia, four of us made Brazil versus Haiti the main event.
This visit is a useful model for families bringing children or older relatives to a major sporting event: leave room for breaks, know the entry rules, and agree on a meeting place before entering the stadium.
Build the day around the match. Eat before entering, keep the afternoon gentle, and choose parking or transit that suits your family’s walking needs. For an evening game, allow time for the crowds to clear and keep the next morning flexible.
The Philadelphia Match Day Itinerary
Keep the Philadelphia visit centered on the stadium experience. A relaxed afternoon, a meal, and enough time to enter comfortably can make the evening easier for everyone. Use the event’s latest guidance for local parking, public transit, entrances, and accessibility arrangements.
Friday morning and afternoon
Leave generous room for holiday traffic, a meal, and restroom stops. Keep sightseeing optional. If older relatives are joining, ask how far they are comfortable walking before choosing where to park. A shorter walk may matter more than squeezing in another attraction.
Friday evening
Brazil faced Haiti at Philadelphia Stadium, known outside the tournament as Lincoln Financial Field. Arrive with time to find the entrance, use the restroom, and settle into your seats. Our seats were in section C16, row 19. Check seat access and nearby facilities for your own group.
After the match
Allow an unhurried walk out and a flexible departure. Follow the directions in effect that night. Check that everyone is together before leaving the seating area, and pause somewhere suitable if anyone needs a break. Give the crowds time to move without rushing your group.
What Most Families Miss
Parking advice needs checking. Philadelphia required advance purchase for official World Cup parking and said police would prevent unauthorized neighborhood parking. Do not treat Packer Park as guaranteed free event parking, or assume a particular bridge will bypass every closure.
The walk after the match matters. Confirm accessible parking, drop-off arrangements, and the route to your seats before booking. The city listed accessible transport and stadium assistance options. Ask about your family’s specific needs instead of relying on a general accessibility label.
Pack for the event. The published clear-bag limit was 12 by 6 by 12 inches. Check event-specific rules for medicines, baby supplies, strollers, food, and drinks before leaving the car. A familiar travel item is not automatically permitted inside.
Goldie’s Table
Pack for comfort during warm weather and long waits. Confirm fan and seat-cane entry rules with the venue before bringing them. The Amazon links open searches so you can compare models, fit, and return terms.

|
|

|
|
Baby wipes and usual diaper supplies |
Pack a small amount for children who need them; confirm entry rules. |

An optional way to locate your own keys or bag. AirTag is designed for belongings, not people if you need to find your parents in the stadium. |
Bottom Line
Memories are priceless, and a family trip does not need a packed schedule to be worth taking. Choose the experience you want to share, then give everyone enough time and energy to enjoy it. For us, Philadelphia was about one match together.
