• Plug the master unit into a wall outlet near the water heater or in any area where water damage is most likely.
• Extend the 1.5 ft sensing cable (plus the 3 ft extension) along the floor near the base of the water heater where a leak would pool first.
• Download the free AQUILA PRO AI app on your iPhone. Open the app, tap “Add Device,” and follow the on-screen instructions to connect the master unit to your Wi-Fi network. The app supports multiple home locations — so you can monitor your own home and your parent’s home from a single app on one iPhone.
• The green LED on the master unit will glow when the sensor is active and connected.
• Caregiver Tip: Make sure the master unit is plugged into an outlet that stays powered at all times. If the outlet is controlled by a light switch, use a different outlet.

Remote Sensor Pod — Under the Kitchen Sink

Set Up iPhone Alerts (You + Family)

Things to Consider

• The system requires a working Wi-Fi connection to send smartphone alerts. If the internet goes down, the local 100 dB siren and LED strobe will still activate, but phone notifications will not be sent until Wi-Fi is restored.
• The master unit must be plugged into an AC outlet. The remote pods are battery-powered (2 x AAA)
• The SW-A11KT is a new 2025 model and is not compatible with older D-Link water sensors (DCH-161-US, DCH-S1621KT, DCH-S163).
• This sensor detects water leaks but does not shut off the water supply automatically. For automatic shutoff, a smart water valve (sold separately by other manufacturers) would be needed. Recommend to turn off water valve if you are going on vacation.
• Strong Wi-Fi signal at the master unit location is essential. If the basement has poor Wi-Fi, add a mesh Wi-Fi extender.
