Yes! You can cancel your subscription at any time. Your benefits continue until the end of your billing period.

How do daily messages and documents work?

Free users get 25 chat messages per day and 3 Document Helper uploads per month. Premium users get 100/day chat and 5 uploads/month. Each upload covers up to 2 pages — longer docs use multiple monthly slots. Need more? Buy a token pack anytime; tokens never expire.

What do I get for Local Events?

Everyone can browse senior events near them (25-mile radius) and save favorites. Premium widens the radius to 50 miles with more results, and shows you live concerts and plays near you with a direct link to buy tickets (tickets sold separately by the venue).

Will things be read to me in a natural voice?

Everyone — even without an account — can listen to our articles and the weekly magazine read aloud in a warm, natural English voice, completely free. Hearing them in your own language — Spanish, Korean, Chinese, and the rest of our 10 languages — is a Premium perk, along with Goldie reading your chat replies and documents aloud in your language too. (Voice typing with the microphone is free for everyone.)

Can I talk with people who speak other languages?

Yes — that's one of the best parts. In the chatroom, every message is automatically translated into your language, both ways. A member writing in Korean and a member writing in English can be in the same room and each reads it in their own language — 10 languages supported. You can even speak your message instead of typing it. With Premium, every message is also read aloud to you in your language, hands-free, in a natural voice — wonderful if reading a screen is tiring.

Do purchased tokens expire?
No! Purchased tokens never expire. Use them whenever you need them — even months or years later.
Can I use tokens with my Free account?
Yes! Purchased tokens work with both Free and Premium accounts. They're added to your total balance.
How do daily and purchased tokens work together?
The system uses your daily allowance first. When that runs out, it automatically draws from your purchased tokens — so you always have access when you need it.
How many tokens do messages and documents use?
1 chat message = 1 token.
1 Document Helper upload (up to 2 pages) = 20 tokens.

So the $9.99 pack (200 tokens) gets you 200 extra chat messages, or 10 extra document uploads, or any mix in between. Larger documents use multiple slots — a 4-page document counts as 2 uploads (40 tokens).
Is there a limit to how many I can buy?
No limit! Buy as many packs as you need — they all add to your balance.
